What makes Laura Leigh Images different from other photographers?

We've been told we have a calming presence and a caring demeanor... there's an easiness about us... and we are so delighted by those kinds of compliments!

We are very detail-oriented, and we care as much about the experience of your session as the final images that we deliver... it ALL matters to us! We set up timeless portraits (guiding you through posing, of course!) and then thoughtfully capture candid moments along the way. Bonus: We promise to only put the cutest candids in your gallery!

Do you have a Senior Portrait Guide?

Yes, we do! We have created a guide that is full of insight and information for our Seniors and their families! We send it out as soon as you book your senior session with us, and we are always available for any additional questions that arise as you plan for your session.

Can I include my pet in the shoot?

Yes, of course! We love incorporating your furry family members into your session or wedding day. Please let us know prior to the shoot day so we can provide some helpful tips and ensure the location allows for pets.

What happens if the weather is bad or it rains?

We pay very close attention to weather leading up to your photo session. Should we need to adjust the session date and time due to unforeseen weather-related circumstances, we absolutely will. If you have a concern regarding the weather for an event that is occurring within the next 48 hours, please feel free to reach out to us and we will work to make adjustments for your upcoming session.

How are my images or video delivered? Do you offer digital files?

Your final images are delivered in a beautiful online gallery, from which you can mark favorites, download files, and share directly with family and friends. The gallery also provides you with access to our recommended lab so you have the option to order high-quality print products, including wall art, fine art prints, and unique holiday and graduation cards.

All of our portrait sessions and wedding collections include printing rights to the digital files in your gallery.

Videos are delivered digitally (via a private link), from which you can watch and download your film

How are images edited? Can I get additional retouching?

The images in your gallery will all be enhanced through color correction and skin smoothing. They will be ready for download and print upon digital delivery. Should you prefer we avoid this process, please let us know in advance. Further, if there is something you're concerned about on the day of your session, please bring it up so we can address it during the editing process.

Where do you travel? Are there additional travel fees?

We LOVE to travel! Let's discuss your specific travel goals and locations you have in mind, and we will happily quote any additional travel fees, should they be necessary. Please reach out via our "Contact" page to connect for more details.

Wedding FAQs

Can you hold my wedding date?

We do not officially reserve a wedding date until a signed contract and deposit are on file. We highly recommend contacting us as soon as you have a date in mind.

We love to talk with our couples early in their planning process so we can offer advice on wedding day timelines. We never want a couple to feel rushed on their special day — it should be a day for celebrating, not stressing! -- so let's connect as early as possible in your planning process.

Do we need to have an engagement session?

While engagement sessions are not required, we highly recommend them as a great way for us to get to know each other before your wedding day, as well as an opportunity for you to get comfortable in front of the camera together. This is why our photography collections include a complimentary engagement session.

What is a wedding story video?

Our wedding story videos tie together the big moments and small details that tell the story of your wedding day. They are set to music and often include voice audio as well. When permitted by the venue, we also love to incorporate drone footage.

Can we add a second videographer?

Absolutely and we highly recommend it! You can add a second videographer to any collection for $400.

Do we need to provide a list of formal photos?

We do not require our couples to provide a list of images. We will have a conversation with you before the wedding day to go over the various VIPS, relationships, and any unique situations we might encounter on the wedding day,... then we'll take care of the shot list ourselves! Of course, if you feel most comfortable providing a list of "must have" photos, we will happily work off of your list.

Do you travel for weddings? Are there travel fees?

We happily travel for weddings! We cover distances of 75 miles from St. Cloud, Minnesota at no expense. Any additional milage beyond 75 miles will have a small fee of $1.00 per mile to cover time/gas expenses. This applies to weddings that are within a distance that is reasonably drivable on the day of the wedding.

(Example: Your wedding takes place 100 miles from St. Cloud, MN. Your milage fee would be $50.00 to cover the extra 25 miles each way, beyond the 75 miles that we cover).

Weddings that require travel beyond 150 miles from St. Cloud, MN may include additional fees to cover overnight hotel stay (if needed, depending on the timeline of the wedding day).

All fees will be discussed in advance, quoted and included as part of the final contract. There will be no surprise fees.
